Xiamen’s film and television industry flourishes

Xiamen recently hosted the China Film Fair (Xiamen) and the National Film Promotion Conference. The event included more than 600 representatives from key national cinema chains, film management and investment companies. The film fair is considered one of the most influential trade events for China’s film industry.  

Xiamen has attracted nearly 500 film crews for location shooting in the past five years. Xiamen is also home to more than 20 film and television shooting bases such as the China (Xiamen) Intelligent Audiovisual Industry Base, the Xiamen Film and Television Shooting Base, the Jimeiji Film and Television Industrial Par, and the Maritime Silk Road (Xiamen) International Film Industry Base.
