Xiamen hosts first stop of 'Foreign Expert Tour in Fujian' to rave reviews

The "Foreign Expert Tour in Fujian" event kicked off in Xiamen on May 12. A delegation of experts from 24 countries made Xiamen their first stop, embarking on a unique in-depth exploration of this coastal city.

"Xiamen is incredibly beautiful, somewhat reminiscent of my hometown in New Zealand. The sea breeze here also brings back memories of home," remarked Simon, a New Zealand expert, during the visit. This sense of familiarity is the first thing that struck many of the foreign experts visiting Xiamen.

The delegation visited Xiamen University, the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, and the Maritime Silk Road International Law and Business Integration Service Base located at Sea World on May 13.

During their visit to Xiamen University, the foreign experts were not only captivated by the campus scenery of "China's Most Beautiful University", but also deeply moved by the story of Tan Kah Kee, who used his personal fortune to establish educational institutions to strengthen the nation. Through this experience, the experts gained a first-hand appreciation for Fujian's strong tradition of valuing education and nurturing talent.

The Xiamen FTZ demonstrated to the international experts China's cutting-edge practices in reform and opening-up. Its automated port operations exemplify "China Speed", while the streamlined cross-border e-commerce regulatory model showcases "China Wisdom".
